What types of roof cleaning are available?

There are only two roof cleaning processes. Pressure Cleaning and Chemical Roof Cleaning. Pressure Cleaning is potentially harmful to the life of the roof.Chemical roof cleaning is the desired and proven method for removing Algae. UnderPressure will never use Pressure on the Roof Surface .

Why is Chemical Roof Cleaning better than Pressure?

Pressure cleaning removes what you see with a high pressure force applied directly to the roof surface.Tile and shingle roofs are Damaged by the pressure. Gutters and downspouts fill up with asphalt and tile sediment reducing the life of the roof. Chemical Roof Cleaning removes what you see and what you can not see. The Discoloration you see on your roof is typically Algae. Spores fly on the roof, attach and grow. The longer it dwells, the darker it becomes. Our blended Algaecide solution removes what you see and kills the Algae in a matter of minutes with no pressure or risk of damage. Chemical roof Cleaning is faster and lasts longer. We can spray a large area and walk the roof less reducing footprint on tiles and shingles.

Does UnderPressure need to walk on the roof to clean it?

The easy answer is Yes. We walk most roofs. We will rent equipment to clean roofs whereas safety is a concern.Higher pitched roofs, painted flat tile roofs, cedar shake roofs may be deemed unsafe to walk.

Are Gutters and Fascia included with roof cleaning?

It depends! Your roof is vulnerable to the immediate environment around and above your roof surface. Trees which grow over the home allow for faster algae growth.Chemically cleaned roofs with trees typically last 2-3 years depending on the age and material of the roof.

How often does a roof need to be Chemically cleaned?

We recommend a roof be chemically cleaned once algae is visible. Every roof is different. We do provide an annual maintenance plan for those who want to make the neighbors jealous!
